Take the Gloves Off and Speak Up!

Sarah Hoyt posted a missive about Hate Speech which is worth reading.  My summary of Sarah's missive is that the Moonbats, SJWs, and similar subcultures spew it, the rest of the world more or less tolerates it, and we shouldn't.

Several social media platforms have come under fire (ha ha) for censoring hate speech, but especially hate speech directed at white males. Because, well... I can't think of just why, or even if they are.  Censoring, that is.

Keep reading for a politically incorrect, socially insensitive yet well reasoned communiqué about free speech, social media, and the Internet.  I recommend that anyone with a thin skin dose themselves with 1 milligram of Xanax before reading.


Amendment I of the U.S. Constitution states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Emphasis mine.  Note that this refers to the government.  I know, I'm preaching to the choir here, but bear with me.

Consider a few of the largest of the social media platforms, Google, FaceBook, and Twitter.  Google is owned by Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and a handful of other people none of us has ever heard of.  FaceBook is owned and operated by Mark Zuckerberg and a host of filthy rich plebeians, but mainly Zuck.  Twitter is controlled by Evan Clark Williams, Jack Dorsey, and Peter H. Fenton.  I've never heard of any of these people, except Zuckerberg, and I wouldn't know any of them even if I was sitting next to them in Church.

My point is that none of them are the government, so the legal concept of free speech doesn't apply to their companies, and never will.  Free speech is whatever they decide it is today, and that can change tomorrow.  Actually, it can change today, and it changes at the whim of a very few people.  However, allow me to point out that it's their house, so to speak.  They own the company, they make the rules.

The SJWs and Moonbats read something they don't like on, say, Twitter, and they're all over it.  They howl, they spread false rumors, they call names and make false and baseless accusations.  In short, they behave like angry primates, complete with screeches and throwing feces.  The right yawns and ignores it, much like an experienced mother ignoring the tantrums of a four year old.  Then something else happens that the SJWs hate, and the pattern repeats.

This is getting more than a little tiresome.  Threats are being exchanged and a certain amount of violence is taking place.  Between Antifa, BLM, Alt-Right, Citizens United, PETA and the Brady Bunch we, the silent but pissed off majority, get very little real news at the expense of so-called free speech.

Now I'm given to understand that social media as a whole is trying to do something about hate speech, but they're failing miserably.  So, in the meantime, I'd encourage everyone to speak up.  If you're on social media and someone attacks you, don't just ignore it.  Fight back and use the same tactics they're using.  Your counter attack won't shut them up, but it will let the powers that be (Zuck, etc.) know that you're alive and well, and you don't intend to just sit still and put up with their insults anymore.
