What Country Am I Living In?

So I'm slurping my morning coffee like a stupe and staring at the idiot box for my daily dose of propaganda, but my attention span is far too fragmented for this to last.

Squirrel!

I fired up my very own silicon miracle and check Resist The Mainstream, where I discover that Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Who Was in Charge of Capitol Security on Jan. 6 Dies Suddenly, Hours Before Hearing.

What a surprise.

From the article:

The man in charge of protecting the Senate during the Capitol incident has died just a day before the Committee was set to reveal new evidence in a surprise session.

Michael Stenger, 71, was the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate on January 6.

He resigned amid criticism he had failed to react effectively to the building being overrun.

His sudden death on Monday came the same day an unexpected additional hearing of the committee was announced.

The surprise meeting will ‘present recently obtained evidence and receive witness testimony.’

That's right.  Just one day away from a surprise session (whatever the hell that may be), Stenger cashes in his chips.  I'm betting he slipped and fell in the shower, which his personal massage therapist will testify to.

Am I living in a banana republic?  Then we have this crap:

From the article:
The office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., responded after claims that she pushed the young daughter of a newly elected Republican representative.
Representative Mayra Flores, R-Texas, was recently elected to Congress in a special election and claimed that in a photoshoot with Pelosi in her new office in Washington the House speaker elbowed her daughter.
A representative for Pelosi has contested the claims and in several posts on Twitter claimed instead that Pelosi was simply trying to move the girl so she would be in camera.
Claims that she, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives and member of the Democratic political party of the State of California, pushed a little girl?  There's no claim about it.  She pushed the daughter of a Republican away from her.  If you doubt what actually happened, find the video on the Internet and watch it.  Pelosi is an ill-mannered, boorish politician who may well be certifiably insane.  The last time I actually watched Pelosi was during not-a-president Biden's state of the union speech, where Pelosi acted like a sidewalk homeless woman off her meds.

The Speaker of the House is a public figure in the United States and should be an exemplary citizen.  We the People have a President who was elected under suspicious circumstances and who is clearly suffering from dementia, a Vice President who can't give a straight answer to anything and who laughs like a demented kookaburra, and a Speaker of the House who isn't above pushing a child out of the picture.

I think we're about right for the Second Coming.

The system is broken, Jack. The centrist moderate mainstream has caved, and will no longer defend itself. It has no credibility or moral authority and we now have a power vacuum. It may well be filled by a radical strong man from either the political left or the political right.

We live in dangerous time, and everyone sleeps.

Many of us are not sleeping. We see what going on, but other than voting at
every election, we don't know what to do about it or how to change it for the
better. Even voting may not work if the elected Republicans don't stand up
and fight to preserve Constitution and liberty.

I know I'll be in the minority, but that little bump, really? That looked more like she was trying to regain balance...

It hinges around the people involved.
