Lincoln Woods Activity

As promised earlier, I continued my citizen patrols of Lincoln Woods, searching for subversive activity.  I found none, but the dog and I did stumble across a sure sign of global warming.

Yellow Flowers

I don't know what these flowers are called but I hope they survive the snow that's certain to arrive before March is finished with us.

Blue Flowers

I like these flowers too.  I was trying to get a photo of a very busy honey bee that was doing what bees do during spring.  The bee was camera shy.

The weather nit wit says we'll likely have snow on Sunday.  We'll see.

They both look like crocuses, Jack. I am pissed that I planted over 100 crocus bulbs and not a single plant has so much as sprouted a shoot. I'll be trably pissed if the entire spring goes by and these bulbs go kaput.

It's possible the squirrels got 'em. Main Lady's three little darlings (Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail) periodically go on a bulb planting spree and plant several dozen bulbs throughout the yards (front and back). I know for a fact that not all these come up, and I've seen the squirrels digging for them.

Set Eddie Haskel on the job. He'll protect those bulbs, even if he has to dig up the entire yard to do it.
