I've been watching this one ever since it happened. Officer Connor Grubb and Sgt. Erik Moynihan confronted shoplifter Ta'Kiya Young (guess the race) in a Kroger parking lot where she was parked. Officer Moynihan stood at the driver's side window and ordered Young to shut off the engine and step out of the car, while Officer Connor Grubb stood in front of Young's Lexus to prevent her departure. After a brief exchange of profane orders and refusals, shoplifter Ta'Kiya Young started to drive off, striking officer Grubb with her car. Officer Grubb was struck by the Lexus and ended up sprawled across the hood with his pistol out. Officer Grubb fired a single shot, killing shoplifter Ta'Kiya Young and ultimately her unborn child.
Instead of that being the end of the matter, that was the beginning. I have a real problem with this, and those of you who want to know why can keep reading with the usual caveat - thin skinned special little snowflakes can go watch CNN or something.
10 TV News does a fairly decent job of reporting the facts, although the articles are all slanted to the Liberal Left. Check the link provided below as it amuses you to do so.
Blendon Twp. Officer Connor Grubb Found Not Guilty on All Charges in Death of Ta'Kiya Young
At the start of this circus, both officers were at the Kroger parking lot attending to other business when a Kroger employee alerted them to the fact that Young was a shoplifter, they had her on tape, and she was getting away. If you watch the tape, this dumb criminal is heisting a bag full of Mad Dog wine and similar products. For those of you who have never had Mad Dog wine, consider yourselves lucky.
The two cops confronted Young who tried to run over one of them with her car - and right there is where the justified use of force begins.
Just imagine you're a cop, and you're busting a shoplifter. The crime is a misdemeanor and we all know what's really going to happen - not much. But instead of giving up, the bitch tries to kill you. You want to end up under a car? No? So you shoot, and the alleged perpetrator takes one to the boiler house. But instead of case closed, your boss kicks you off the force and a grand jury of morons file ten charges against you for saving your own life.
That shooting was on August 24, 2023. Two years, two months, and 29 days later the nightmare finally comes to an end. The judge dismissed four counts out of hand, and after three days of deliberation a jury of his peers found officer Grubb not guilty on all counts.
Of course there was a bit of an uproar in the courtroom.
From the article:
Young's grandmother, Nadine Young, collapsed into
sobsshaniqua theater at the decision, shouting “It's not right! This is not right!”
She should have done her shouting when Grubb was charged. The man saved his own life. Because he shot and killed his assailant, his family can enjoy his company at Thanksgiving and every other day. He should never have been charged with anything; he should have been congratulated, maybe given a few days off, and gone back to work.
From the article, again:
Defense attorney Mark Collins said Grubb and his family are relieved, but that it's wrong to suggest the officer was untouched by the death of Young and her unborn daughter.
I, personally, wouldn't be sorry about shooting a criminal. But that's just me. This man was charged and tried because of a box-of-rocks dumb grand jury, and a vindictive county prosecutor - Shayla Favor.
From the article:
Franklin County Prosecutor Shayla Favor released [a] statement saying her thoughts and prayers are with Young's family. "My thoughts and prayers remain with the family of Ta’Kiya Young..."
Bite me. The family of a criminal, and this is the county prosecutor. You really think this is going to be her first rodeo?
The next time a white cop shoots a black criminal we'll see the same scenario. How long will it take before the police stop putting themselves in harms' way?
Grubb should never have been charged. Now he's got legal bills to pay, death threats to deal with, and a civil suite in his future.
You couldn't pay me enough to be a cop in Franklin County.

Well I think, sometimes… I see a light at the end of the tunnel, maybe? “Black Fatigue” is slowly giving way to nigger hate… and it’s about time too. It’s long past time to start putting those animals down. This ‘tolerance’ bullshit has run its course and nigger crime isn’t good for them or us.
Hard to be a cop anywhere. Saw a clip today where Somalian immgrants were officially made cops in Minneapolis, and they immediately said, "Our first priority is for Somalians". How would you like to be a cop in a place where your "teammates" said that?
Glen: What else was the cop gonna do? Stand there are get run over and killed? The would-be killer had the drop on him and was running him over. I would have emptied the magazine into her.
CW: It's generally hard being a cop, but with crap like this happening it doesn't get any easier. Then we get this Somali business. Just take a hard look at Somali, at the conditions there, and try to convince me that Somali refugees or immigrants will make good policemen. The first Somali cop promptly went out and shot someone to death, and never gave it a second thought.
