Happy Thanksgiving!

This is the obligatory Happy Thanksgiving post for 2025.

Happy Thanksgiving!

See?

I'm having Thanksgiving dinner with Big Mike, and will be bringing two dishes; Ginger Glazed Carrots and Scalloped Oysters. My dear old mother used to make the glazed carrots every once in a while, and they are quite nice. As for the oysters, my paternal grandmother loved them and provided a large dish twice a year - Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Years later, as we had Thanksgiving at our house, my mother refused to make the oysters due to the cost. Shucked oysters aren't exactly free. People complained, so mom compromised and made a tiny amount - not nearly enough.

Eventually things returned to normal, but only after a lot of argument. So, have a great thanksgiving holiday, eat too much, drink just enough so that you don't have to drive anywhere (they're getting serious about that drunk driving business these days), and don't forget to argue over politics.

Connor Grubb, Ta'Kiya Young, and Justice

I've been watching this one ever since it happened. Officer Connor Grubb and Sgt. Erik Moynihan confronted shoplifter Ta'Kiya Young (guess the race) in a Kroger parking lot where she was parked. Officer Moynihan stood at the driver's side window and ordered Young to shut off the engine and step out of the car, while Officer Connor Grubb stood in front of Young's Lexus to prevent her departure. After a brief exchange of profane orders and refusals, shoplifter Ta'Kiya Young started to drive off, striking officer Grubb with her car. Officer Grubb was struck by the Lexus and ended up sprawled across the hood with his pistol out. Officer Grubb fired a single shot, killing shoplifter Ta'Kiya Young and ultimately her unborn child.

Instead of that being the end of the matter, that was the beginning. I have a real problem with this, and those of you who want to know why can keep reading with the usual caveat - thin skinned special little snowflakes can go watch CNN or something.

November 4th Election

For my sins I live in Columbus, Ohio, which sits in self-proclaimed splendor in the middle of Franklin County, which is in the middle of the great State of Ohio. Or so I'm told.

The city of Columbus is run by a group of Democrats who are so incompetent that with just a little more effort, the place will look and feel like Los Angeles, California. We've got an election coming up on November 4th, and all the offices are uncontested. There's not a Republican to be found anywhere. What's worse is the property tax situation, which I'll describe below.

Gun Shows and Private Sales

 Where've you been Jack?

I've been away. No, not that kind of away Glen Filthie, and I'll thank you in advance for not making obscene noises during this impromptu apologue. I went to Sylvania, Ohio to visit my brother California Dave, who is staying at his dear old mother's condominium while she's someplace in Pennsylvania. I arrived on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025. Although many pointless and annoying deeds were done during my visit, the main event was the gun show on Saturday.

Keep reading as it amuses you to do so, but I must warn you that if you're a freedom hating liberal of any stripe, go read the fiction on CNN. You'll be happier and you won't find me or anyone like me on CNN - I don't read CNN for the same reasons I don't drink water from the toilet.

Happy Birthday!

Today is my birthday. I was born on October 2nd, 1952 (a Thursday) at around 6:00 AM. That makes me 73 years old today, and believe me when I say I can really feel it. This gettin' old business ain't for sissies.

Tonight I'm going out to dinner with my brother Big Mike. His birthday is on the fifth, which is highly appropriate.

At my age I suppose I should pontificate a bit, and so I shall. I've watched civilization in the U.S. change from the late 1950s through the turn of the century up through today, and I've seen things I never thought I'd see. I stay away from crowds and downtown events because of the very real possibility that a riot or shooting or both might break out. I grew up without helicopter parents or a readily available phone. I got vaccinated for polio, and that was that.

There's more, but I'm tired of writing. Have a great day and thanks for reading!

Lost, Found, and Returned

On Friday, 9/26/2025, I was over at the local liquor store buying a bottle of gin.

Jiffy Lube and Me

The old jitney needed an oil change, and I needed a trip to the liquor store, so off we go. Oil change first, for obvious reasons. This should be easy, right? Drive in, decline all the extras except maybe changing out the air filter because I want the engine to last a bit longer than I do, and then two hundred and change later I'm trying to cheer myself up on the way to the liquor store, after which it's happy hour, and - well, is anyone surprised when things didn't work out that way?

Assassination and the Social Situation

This isn't a first. We, the sane citizens of the United States, have had some warning that this was coming. The thing is commercial media refused to cover it, and the few people that knew about it couldn't make themselves heard.

Let's go back to September 11th, 2001 for a minute or so. Those of you with thin skins, strong snowflake SJW attitudes or affiliations, go outside and play. Big people are talking now.

The Old One-Two

"Give him the old one-two!" one guy advised me.

"Kick him in the nuts!" another guy said with enthusiasm.

"Jack?" a tough, experienced school yard fighter addressed me quietly, "This guy ain't tough. Land one right on the end of his nose, and the fight's over."

And that's what I did, and he was right. The nose bled copiously, and the fight was over. I thanked him for his advice, and he just shrugged.

"You helped me out in drafting class, so..."

Well, he was right. I did help him when he needed it.

Somebody just handed me the old one-two.

Coming Soon to a Major City Near You!

By now everyone has heard of the brawl in Cincinnati, Ohio. My immediate reaction was to write some sort of inflammatory statement about it, involving the necessity of arming yourself for the occasion coupled with racial slurs. Then I decided to wait and see what might develop, and I'm sort of glad I did.

Keep reading for my own one-sided opinion and some possible enlightenment.

Property Tax

The original idea behind taxation, and practically everyone reading this will know what I'm talking about, is the maintenance and construction of shared community structure. The general concept behind those with more land use a little more of this community structure than those without is intentionally vague, as opposed to paying taxes rather than just pitching in to maintain the road or sewage system in front of your home.

Whatever. There's a few holes in this, but that's about the way it started.

These days, several hundred years down the road, the idea is that our elected officials know how to spend our money better than we do, and when they run short of tax money, which they'll do on a regular basis, they just pass a new law demanding more. Except, you know, when the general public gets involved and are asked to pass a new tax levy, generally for the public school system.

Keep reading as it amuses you to do so.

The Major Hoax

We've got UFOs, Bigfoot and friends, Mystery virus injections, and now - The President Colludes With The USSR!

Only the USSR collapsed years ago. I'm old enough to remember the Cuban missile crises and how JFK handled it. I also remember that little misunderstanding with old Tricky Dick Nixon which is often referred to as Watergate. Now we thought we had Russia-Gate, but it turns out that maybe we don't.

No maybe about it. No alleged, either.

Minor Rant

Maybe I'm too easily irritated, or maybe I'm a bit too intolerant. I don't think so, but then if I did think so I'd likely change my behavior, wouldn't I?

Happy Double Natural Day

To celebrate Double Natural Day, here are thirteen things the older U.S. citizens want, in no particular order. I didn't write this, I copied it from Dock Treece who got it from someone else.

We're getting old, cranky, and worn out, so here's a list of thirteen things that most older adults want. The list is rated PG.

1. Hillary: held accountable for her past misdeeds.

2. Put God back in America!

3. Borders: closed and well protected!

4. Congress: in the same retirement and health care plans as everyone else.

5. Congress: Obey your own laws NOW!

6. Language : English! And by that I mean fluent English that the rest of us can understand without a translator.

7. Culture: Constitution and Bill of Rights!

8. Drug Free: Mandatory drug detection before and during the enjoying any social services!

9. Giveaways: NONE for non-citizens!

10. Budget: Balance the damn' thing!

11. Foreign countries: Stop giving them our money!

12. Slots for the Congress.

13. Respect our military, our flag, and our emergency service members!

Feel free to add anything you think I've missed, and thanks for reading.

He Got Epsteined

A colloquialism that will likely makes its way into U.S. English, meaning that a person is officially declared dead by suicide, but was actually murdered by the Federal government or by operatives directed to do so by the wealthiest one-tenth of one percent of the population.

Commercial news media, CNN, CBS, Fox, are all running the same story: Epstein died by suicide (hanged himself while in jail) and there is no client list (meaning a list of guests who visited Epstein Island and enjoyed the hospitality there).

Nuthin' to see here, move along...

Let's Kick the Hornet's Nest

I went to an escape room in Columbus, OH last week, and the thing that came out to greet us and run the escape room was a shade over six feet, thin build, antique afro hair style, around twenty something years old, and wearing a cocktail dress that might have looked good on Twiggy in the late 1960s.

Clintons in the White House!

Back in the bad old days or maybe a few years after, we had old Slick Willie and Hellery in the double wide permanently parked at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The place was right lively back then, what with old Slick chasing anything with a skirt and a pulse around the House and Hellery on her third martini by 9:00 - A.M., not P.M. I have it on first hand authority she whizzed an ashtray at him, and I don't know how the Secret Police handled it. If you're in the SS, your first priority is protecting your assignment from harm, so... an ashtray to the head? In my mind, that's when the gloves come off. I would have been inclined to turn her over my knee, bare her ample behind, and use my belt on her until one was a bright red and the other was worn out.

But that's all water over the dam, or something. There's not much left but the fallout, and that's something. I got this over at Zero Hedge, and I think it's worth looking at.

My Gout Condition

 and a few other things.

I'm taking prednisone 20 mg. tablet, 3 tablets per day; loose leaf Pu Erh tea; and Tart cherry juice. One of these items is making me fart non-stop, and given that my diet does not include Tex-Mex Tacos or chili or broccoli, I'm betting it's the prednisone. But maybe not.

As of this writing, I'm better but not completely mended, and my irregular heart beat returned last night. This means a call to my witch doctor and to my cardiologist.

The fun just never ends.

I missed my mother's day post, which irritates me. In lieu of some kind of traditional post, I'll write a few anecdotes about my dear mother. Read on as it amuses you to do so.

I'm Stove Up

I don't know just how or what happened, but my left knee refuses to bend without causing me excruciating pain. Pain scale of one to ten, when I'm at rest and the left leg is straight, it's level two or three. Try to get out of bed or get out of my chair, and it's a solid 8. Walk with a straight leg is maybe a five or so.

Doctor's appoint tomorrow. We'll see what he says.

And, should you check the rainfall in Columbus, OH, you'll note that it's a swamp right now. My sump pump is running every 7 to 10 minutes for about 10 to 15 seconds. My best plumber told me to hang tough so long as the basement was dry (it is) and if things don't settle down by the weekend to give him a call.

I may send out for a pizza.

Road Rage Shooting

There was a shooting in Columbus, OH -

Peanut Gallery: No!

Mad Jack: Yes! And I'm told that oriental massage parlors give more than massages, and Texas has a whore house in it. Now then...

Shooting in Columbus, Ohio on I-70 West. Police are searching for the alleged shootist, which is a joke. What the news media doesn't say is that if the assailant in question keeps his yap shut, the cops have little hope in finding him, and even less hope in getting him charged, tried, and convicted. Then, of course, sentenced to twenty to life because it's a gun crime and the alleged perpetrator is an over thirty white male.

Loss of Tolerance

I've always promised myself that I'm not going to be like them. I refuse to resort to ignorant, offensive posts about a political party or an elected official, and I'd like to think that for the most part I'm tolerant.

I'm losing it.

One of my relatives, or perhaps more than one, is a left wing moonbat. A liberal, complete with screaming liberal arguments, attempts at bullying, and generally bad behavior. None of these people would ever try anything like this face to face, but given the anonymity of the book of faces they are free to do as they like.

I've had enough of their crap.

Latest News

I'm recovering from the flu, and so haven't been doing much of anything lately. However, I stumbled across a post from the Old NFO that's worth reading. You can find it here, and if nothing else the situations describe a few people who actually need a keeper. Be sure to read the comments as well.

On the Reddit front, I decided to respond to a typical moonbat post about vicious dogs and society's responsibility to provide a safe and secure area for everyone.  Mistake on my part.

The event and news article: Charges Pending After Dog Attack Injures Columbus Boy

From the article:

According to a 911 call, the boy's father reported that his son's face was "deformed by the attack." The officer described the boy's condition to a paramedic, saying, "The kid is messed up bad, they threw him in a cruiser and took him to [Nationwide Children's Hospital], I just put the dogs down."

Then we have the idiots on reddit, as shown below:

Note the number of down votes. These people actually believe that someone, somewhere is responsible for keeping them safe, and making sure they feel safe as well. Just how they come to that conclusion is beyond me. Now what?

When I go out, I'm heeled. If I were attacked by a dog or a pavement ape, I wouldn't hesitate to pull out my pistol and get to work. I'm considering pepper spray as an addition, things being how they are - but I am my own first line of defense.

Happy Anniversary!

Today, the 24th day of February in the Year of Our Lord two thousand and ten, the bored and somewhat deranged author of this blog sat down at his keyboard and pounded out the very first post. Here's a link to the post if you'd care to read it (Click Bait!), but the long and short of it is that our upscale Sylvania, Ohio neighborhood of Lincoln Woods was invaded by a drug dealer, one Clay Hausenfleck. Clay built a grow room in his basement, complete with a locked door to keep the family (one adult female with two children) out of the grow room and completely in the dark about what might be growing down there and why. He also had an illicit connection to the local power company, which didn't have a meter on it, and a decent wad of cash stashed in a safe. Clay also worked as a truck driver, and he was a bit rough around the edges, but so what? Well, I'll tell you 'so what'.

That he kept a grow room didn't really bother me, but not being able to keep this little sideline business under his hat attracted the attention of some fairly undesirable individuals, four to be exact, who armed themselves as they saw fit and kicked in Clay's back door at three in the morning. Clay woke up, they shot at him, and he, being no slouch, returned fire. When the gun-smoke cleared, the cops showed up to count the bodies and demand to inspect the house as it was now a crime scene. And, well, one of the Sylvania PD recognized the bushes in the basement as Cannabis. Oh well.

So Main Lady wanted some enterprising individual to go door to door and get local residents to send a letter to the judge advising her to throw Clay into the hoosegow for a while.  Guess who got volunteered. Many of the neighbors refused to answer their door, which I found rather odd. But then, if I saw some decrepit old man at the door in the late afternoon... well, I'd pack my gat and answer. Most of these little Brownies hid under their bed.

Anyway, I started writing. Lately I haven't been inspired to write much of anything, in spite of the fact that we, all of us, are living in interesting times.

The number of individuals whom I believe to be fairly intelligent and well educated but who are supporting the lunatic left Democratic party is staggering.  They scream baseless criticisms at everyone about President Trump and the GOP, and they ignore the evidence surfacing about the mishandling of funds by our government. I would compare this to taking an elephant, painting the critter international orange and parking it in the middle of a Catholic Church during midnight mass - and no one sees it.

So, happy anniversary and thanks for reading and commenting.

Pink Slip - Rant

Suppose, just hypothetically now, but just suppose you manage to piss off a medical doctor who is working on you. Or maybe it's a nursing practitioner, which is the next thing to an M.D. Or a cop. Yeah, cops are big fun when they get pissed off. For instance, my best friend during my misspent teenage years was Fast Eddy, who got pulled over in Wauseon, Ohio due to an excessively loud exhaust system on his Chevy SS 396 with four and a quarter horse.

"You got hot pipes on this car, son?" the local cop wants to know.

"Hell, I don't know. Reach down and feel 'em," Eddie replies.

Oh yeah. Or maybe you refer to the nursing practitioner as a victim of DEI, and when she gets testy you mention that there's a special on watermelon down at the local Kroger's.

Under most circumstances the official in question will refuse to serve you and scribble a sort of secret code next to your name which will tip other workers off to the fact that you're a racially prejudice homophobic fat shaming son of a trailer trash whore - and the staff, most of whom are black, will treat you poorly. Except those in the know, of course.

Those in the know will treat you to a 72 hour vacation in the puzzle factory, and short of breaking jail, there isn't one damned thing you can do about it.

Check this: New Albany shooting suspect had history of 'pink slips.'

Just Try and Tell Me Crime Doesn't Pay

Go ahead and try, but before you do, read this.

Presidential Personal Gross Profit

The two amounts listed are starting wealth and ending wealth

All Amounts Are In Millions

  • JFK; $100; $100
  • Hey-Hey-LBJ; $14; $20
  • Tricky Dick; $2; $15
  • Ford; $1.4; $7
  • Jimmy the Peanut Farmer; $2.3; $10
  • Cowboy Ron; $10.6; $15.4
  • King George the First; $4; $23
  • Slick Willie Clinton; $1.3; $120
  • King George the Second; $20; $40
  • Ayatollah Obongo; $1.3; $70
  • Slow Joe Bidet; $8; $10

President Donald Trump lost money during his first term in office.

The salary for the President of the United States is around four hundred large, so tell me - just how did this drastic increase in personal wealth happen?

Give up? Well, here's one possible explanation with more to come.

In Treasury's basement, fluorescent lights hummed above four young coders. Their screens cast blue light across government-issue desks, illuminating energy drink cans and agency badges. As their algorithms crawled through decades of payment data, one number kept growing: $17 billion in redundant programs. And counting.

"We're in," Akash Bobba messaged the team. "All of it."

Edward Coristine's code had already mapped three subsystems. Luke Farritor's algorithms were tracing payment flows across agencies. Ethan Shaotran's analysis revealed patterns that career officials didn't even know existed. By dawn, they would understand more about Treasury's operations than people who had worked there for decades.

This wasn't a hack.

I don't always agree with Peter Grant. He's something of an alarmist and prone to hyperbola, but in this case I don't think the gravity of this situation could be overstated. I'd encourage everyone to read this article and any associated articles, then draw your own conclusions.

Wisconsin School Shooting

I lived in Madison (AKA Mad City), Wisconsin for a couple years, and yesterday I heard there was a school shooting. Keep reading for my own opinion, which at this stage is just conjecture.

Attack of the Giant Drone!

By now everyone who isn't a hermetically sealed recluse has gotten wind of the drones invading New Jersey. The panic and outcry is unbelievable.

Just for openers, no laws have been broken, or even badly bent. I've read some of the commentary by politicians and talking heads - Too close to the airport! - and by our next President, who I'm a bit disappointed in. He overreacted, probably because he was pissed off about something. From what little we the people know, the invading air force consists of drones and ultralight aircraft. The drones vary in size from hobbyist style up to and including military or commercial drones. The ultralights carry one person, the pilot, and given the season and the temperature, they're probably wearing survival suits of some kind.

The only thing I believe that it's safe to say is that the United States Federal Government has stated several times that they, collectively, know nothing about the aircraft in question, and therefore we-the-retards have nothing to worry about.

That means that the government knows all about the drones and that we the people have plenty to worry about.

This morning the New Jersey militia/local police said that they captured a drone, but it turned out to be a lawn ornament for a factory. No, I'm not kidding, and no, I haven't been drinking. Yet.

Just keep looking up, and if you see one flip it off.

I'm sorely tempted to seek council from the Canadian Crapcopter Consultant, Glen Filthie.

Another Subway Vigilante

Daniel Penny, a man I'd certainly like to have living in my neighborhood, has been labeled as a hero by everyone with an IQ above room temperature and common sense.  By now, everyone has heard of Penny, but I'll offer a summation along with my own vitriolic opinions.

The Great Ohio - Michigan War

Back in the bad old days, we're talking 1835 or so, the political cockroaches in Michigan decided they wanted a small section of Ohio; where the city of Toledo is now. The fine, upstanding confidence men running Ohio objected to that on general principles, and so the Ohio–Michigan War got started. Once troops were positioned, Michigan got a chance to see what they were actually fighting about. They packed up and went home.

In 1937 a basketball team was formed in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The team was called the Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons. In typical Hoosier fashion, they couldn't leave well enough alone, so in 1957 the team moved to greasier fields, dropped their old customs and habits like yesterday's fish-wrap, and called themselves the Detroit Pistons.

Now then. Note that the entire State of Michigan started a war with Ohio over ownership of the town of Toledo, which for those of you blessed not to know, is a dead broke gravel pit. Toledo, Ohio is a place where mediocrity is a goal rather than a disparaging comment, while Michigan is the rotted out bottom of the rust bucket; true unadulterated ignorance backed up by interminable, beer swilling belligerence.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Suppose you have neighbors, which is a big mistake on their part, but they're the ones who bought the shack next door, ignoring the flags and banners out front. White Lives Matter, Blue Lives Matter, I Support The Second Amendment, Illegal Aliens Will Be Shot - Survivors Will Be Shot Again... that type of signage. That, and your  Trump/Vance/Victory! sign.

You, a red blooded, whiskey swilling, natural born U.S. Citizen, have two little rituals you observe every day. At dawn, you have Trixie (a local exotic dancer) stop by and raise the American Flag while you blow Reveille on your trumpet. Trixie is dressed in a red, white, and blue bikini. At sunset, you have Candy (another exotic dancer) stop by and lower the flag while you play taps. Candy, being very patriotic, is also dressed in a red, white, and blue bikini.

Your neighbor objects. You ignore him. He calls the police, who arrive in time for taps. They stand at attention and salute the flag, admire Candy, and thank you for your service, support and patriotism. Then they advise you about your neighbor's complaints.

The local HOA gets involved, and you tell them (six elderly busybodies) to go fart up a flagpole. The HOA has a lawyer on retainer, so after six months you, the HOA, and the idiots next door wind up in court, Judge Paul Goldner presiding. After hearing more than anyone would care to about the case, the Honorable Judge Goldner commences to lecture. Blah-blah civic minded, blah-ba-blah peaceful neighborhood, blah blah noise ordinance, disturbing the peace, and menacing. Do you have anything you'd like to say?

"Judge, when they circumcised you, they threw away the wrong part."

Okay, then...

Ninety days and five grand later, you erect a new flagpole, celebrate your release, and resume your little 'good morning world!' flag ceremony.

I wrote this is the spirit of entertainment and to smoothly segue into today's malfunction. Keep reading all those of you with rhino hides and a penchant for common sense.

Beatus Natalis!

Which, if google translate is performing as advertised, means Happy Bithday! Yessir, today is my birthday. I was arrived in this world on the second day of October, a Thursday, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred fifty and two.  I was born in Toledo Hospital at around 5:30 AM, with Dr. Henry Brown assisting in the birth.  He was our family doctor, and a good one. I'm seventy-two years old today, and thanks to clean living, regular exercise, and a healthy diet I've managed to make it this far in spite of my regular association with women of questionable moral character, supporting myself against the bar with my left elbow while I hold my cocktail in my right hand, and only eating my fair share of the pizza we ordered - we, that is, being myself and a few drinking companions.

Seventy two.

This post may be somewhat lengthy, so, given the general interest in a single day of the author's life coupled with the somewhat abbreviated assiduity of the readers here, feel free to go elsewhere. Believe me, no one will be offended.

CCW: One up the pipe or not?

About a week ago I stopped off at the corner gas station to buy a pair of lottery tickets. Hey, you never know, right? This station is in a prime location, and despite heavy traffic (which is desirable if you own the station) people stop in here to buy road food, junk food, oddities of all sorts including common OTC drugs, and lottery tickets. They don't pay the staff a whole lot, and it shows.

Monkey Pox! Monkey Pox!

I was inspired by a post over at Filthie’s Log Of Ease, where our noble host wonders just how Monkey Pox, or Mpox, is spread.  Here's a link to the article: Walking On The Wild Side.

From the article by Glen Filthie:

Near as I can tell Monkey Pox is pretty much Darwin and Murphy hating on queers. If you limit your exposure to them and their lifestyle you have very little to worry about. One is tempted to be complacent and contemptuous of the red alerts coming out of the medicos after the Covid scam… but we can’t afford to do that! [Emphasis mine - MJ]

He's right. Having done a little research on the subject, there are a few key points to consider.

Elaina Rose Jennings, Daniel John Giacchina, Torture and the Death Penalty

I'm often against the death penalty.  As screwed up and corrupt as our justice system is in the United States, I don't trust any of them to get it right the first time. There are exceptions, and here I wordlessly point to the Innocence Project, which wouldn't exist if the justice system was anything close to perfect.  Then I read about a case like this one and start to ponder the good old lynch mob.

Even More Stupidity on FB

Some wind-up toy (Linda Jacobs Rice) on FuckBook posted this piece of drivel, and for some reason it just got on my very last nerve.  Here's the post and my response, deliberately worded to avoid Ef-Bee's robo censures.

The Current Level of Stupidity

I read Nextdoor, a predominantly left wing social media site which features local news as reported by Nextdoor members.  This is occasionally useful, as crimes are often reported on Nextdoor and never seen on commercial media.  Shootings, robberies, hurled insults and fecal matter along with the fallout from same are reported and blame is assigned along with suggested penalties.  I believe burning at the stake is mentioned on occasion, usually in response to a thread that is tilted to the political right.

This would be a whole lot less interesting than it already is if not for the blatant display of willful ignorance that surfaces from day to day.  For instance, here we have the start of something.

If this story is true, what happened was the attempted kidnapping of a child.  This is a serious crime, and if I were involved I would have likely put some lead in the air.  The reactions were about what you'd expect, with the prime example being this little nugget of - I don't know, information? Informed opinion?

This is nuts. I can't tell of MaryJo DeBlasis is serious or not, but she got some support for this creative bit of insanity.  Now me, I think I know who the next mayor of Crazytown is going to be - and it ain't Bidet.

These people vote. My belief is that they vote the straight crazy ticket, and if there is one thing wrong with our system of government, it's that everyone is allowed to vote or to run for office.

Thanks for reading.

The Dog is On the Prod

I got this from the Bayou Renaissance Man, who got it from Lawdog.  I think it's worth reading, and so am devoting a post to it.

My own comments are fairly succinct.  Our current president, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., is suffering from dementia.  The symptoms have been visible for over a year, and now the Democrats want him to run for another term - and he's incapable.  I actually feel sorry for the man.  You might as well inform me, Mad Jack, that I'm on the U.S. Olympic Track and Field team, and that I'm expected to bring home a gold medal.  Biden was fine as the Ayatollah Obongo's V.P. when all he had to do was breath and show a pulse. Now? Not just no, but hell no.

Our current vice president, Kamala Devi Harris, is arguably sane enough, but she's stupid.  Put it another way, she isn't smart enough to hold the office of vice president, let alone president, and the moonbats know it.  If Kamala got into the oval office, I'd end up as one of the names listed on the back page of the local scandal sheet as refusing to report to the political reeducation camp.  At best, I'd end up living in a trailer parked in Glen Filthie's back yard.

It's three hours until happy hour, but what the hell.  Like the man said, it's five o'clock somewhere.

Dentist

I'm phobic.  I'm afraid to go to the dentist.  No reason, just phobic.

So today I'm going in to get my chops fixed.  I busted a chop last week, and today I'm getting a new cap installed.  And then, just because I guess, while I was getting my chops cleaned last week one of the caps came off.  I'll give the hygienist credit; she didn't say what I'd have said which would be something along the lines of Oh holy hell on a biscuit... don't move, I'll get the dentist.  Oh yeah.

I take drugs to calm me down.  My old dentist suggested he give me a running start across the parking lot and he'd nail me with a tranquilizer rifle.

My appointment is this afternoon.

Cookout Season 2024

Cookout, backyard barbecue, picnic, whatever.  Summer's here, and I'm inspired to do my annual civic duty in the form of a public reminder on graceful human behavior.

A Typical Backyard

I got this one from someone named Jae Loso (Jabrya) (JTLoso) on the book of faces and fuckups, and she comes close to getting it right.

The Ohio Ballot

Not-my-president Biden may not be on the ballot in Ohio.  Fox news carried the story, and you can read it here: Biden's Ballot Issues in Ohio Aren't Going Away

My feeling is that the moonbats will fall back to their usual playbook.  They'll scream, throw feces, and file lawsuits.  None of this will get around the real problem, which everyone has known about for years.  You see, Ohio has a law that stipulates all parties certify their presidential candidates ninety or more days before the election.  The moonbats won't certify Biden until they conclude their national convention in Wisconsin, which is scheduled to take place on August 19th - seventy-five days before the election.

Me, I'm waiting to see what's going to happen, but when the rubber hits the road I'll be voting the straight Republican ticket, and I'll vote against any and all tax levies.  After that I may clean and load my rifle, strap on a sidearm, and wait for daybreak - because I'll tell you, if Biden isn't on the Ohio ballot, all bets are off and the guns will come out.

Bored Rant: We Are Well and Truly Hosed

They, being them as is in the know, claim that the average IQ in the USA is one hundred.  Eighty and less are developmentally challenged (retards) and anything over one hundred and forty is genius level (rocket scientists).  I'm probably around one-ten, meaning I'm just smart enough to know that the world is going to hose me over, but not smart enough to do anything about it.  Put another way, don't ask me to solve a Rubik's Cube or help your offspring with his Calculus.

That said, I'm barely smart enough to understand that We the People are well and truly hosed, even if the GOP won everything next election - won every single office in Local, County, State, and Federal government, and even if the members of the GOP would all cooperate, we'd still be - wait for it...

Violent Crime, Race, and Results

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Second City is Back!

The other day I discovered that Second City Cop is active again.  If you want to know what's actually going on in Chicago, IL, go read Second City Cop.  I'm happy to see him back.

If you'd like a summary of Chicago shootings, Hey Jackass! is the site for you.  He cites his source, and he includes a Shot-in-the-Junk-O-Meter.  Although I don't live in the Big Windy, and I don't visit or work there, it's interesting to check the stats every so often just to see what's going on.

Seriously, the people who run these sites and their contributors provide a valuable public service.  I wish we had a site like this in Columbus, OH.

California Guitar Trio Concert - March 10, 2024

I don't get out as often as I used to.  Part of it is that I spent a large part of my young life tearing it up every night except Saturday.  Saturday is amateur hour.  Weekend drunks are getting their load on and claiming they are okay to drive.

Right.

Last night I went out to Natalie's Grandview - Music Hall and Kitchen to hear the California Guitar Trio (CGT) play, and I'm here to tell you there was no better place to be in the State of Ohio.

Sites I Read

Today being February 29th of 2024, which makes it the leap day of leap year, and it being somewhat brisk outside and me being bored and all, I decided to go through the list of sites I read (left side, down low) and see if they are still in business.  This list is by no means exhaustive, but it's close enough for government work.  Comments or descriptions are added when I can think of something to say that doesn't brand me as a drunken retard (inebriated intellectually challenged misogynistic male).

Bayou Renaissance Man

Owner/Operator: Peter Grant - Prolific writer and author, who is as opinionated as he is conservative.

According To Hoyt

The musings and serious writings of author Sarah Hoyt, with the occasional guest post.

Forced to move again, the Thunderbox has a new name and is located at:

Filthie’s Log Of Ease

Written by Old NFO AKA author Jim Curtis.  While his age and political leanings preclude a Pulitzer award, he comes closer than most.  He's a good man, and worth reading.

Rambles From My Chair

by Scriptor Senex, AKA Clive John Edwards, October 23, 1949 - January 27, 2024.  RIP.  He was a good man, knew how to tell a story, and would have fit in most anywhere.  He passed away quite suddenly from a stroke.  I miss him.

Fred on Everything

That lovable old curmudgeon, Fred Reed, shoots from the hip - but he may be inebriated.

The Silicon Graybeard

An intelligent, erudite man, his contributions are well thought out and worth reading.  He describes himself as: Retired radio engineer, follower of Christ, RF designer, mentor. Radio ham, home shop machinist, lapidary, silversmith, roadie cyclist, learning to be a rifleman, and home defender, - a guy with too many interests to keep track of.

Tilting at Windmills

by CW Martin, who, by his own admission, is a lone man looking for means of expression in a tsunami of information.

Well, that's it.  For now.  I'll revise this list over the next few days, then edit the list on the left.

One blogger that I used to read all the time, and truly enjoyed, was Beat and Release.  If anyone knows what happened to him, I'd like to hear from you - or from B&R himself.

Happy Anniversary - Fourteen Years of Blogger Bliss!

It was about fourteen years ago today that a recreational substance entrepreneur living just down the street from us successfully defended his home and hearth from four armed and dangerous miscreants at three in the morning - the usual time for such things.

I wrote about it here, and actually got two hate comments out of the deal.  So, that was the beginning of Mad Jack's Shack - and fourteen years later, here we all are.  Main Lady and her three little darlings are history, and have been for some time.  She sold her home in Sylvania, packed up, and moved to Saint Louis, Missouri.  Flopsy lives in the Big Windy and is still duplicitous and spiteful as ever - she's single, her one and only romantic relationship having terminated in a messy, emotional scene in her living room when the love fatal attraction of her not-so-young life wanted sex more than once a month with, of all things, the lights on.  Can you imagine?

Peanut Gallery: I'd rather not.

Ahem.  Mopsy lives in Saint Louis, Missouri, and somehow, and I really and truly cannot understand how, managed to develop a personality and a set of ethics that would make her a welcome dinner guest or drinking buddy at anyone's table.  At least, anyone who reads this hound of a blog and doesn't need six milligrams of Xanax and snowflake therapy afterwards.  I actually suspect Divine intervention here, there being no other explanation.

Cottontail, the youngest of the three, is a vegetarian, veterinarian, and animal rights non-activist (meaning that the rules she follows regarding animals apply to her, and not everyone else).  She's a very accomplished veterinarian, I'll give her that.  Anyway, she got married to QB-One, who turned out to be a bit light in the loafers -

Peanut Gallery: Light?!

Okay, then.  He's gayer than a Hello Kitty! vibrator.  They got divorced, and when I heard about the situation I offered the loan of a shotgun and a box of shells.  I reminded Main Lady that buckshot leaves no ballistics, but to police your empties.  She hesitated a bit too long, but didn't take me up on it.  Note that I did not offer the scatter-gun to Flopsy, and no one I know would.  The mental fallout after the shooting cannot be imagined, even by me, and I have a vivid imagination.  I note that one man whom I've known for years, and who is gayer than Liberace on steroids, called QB-One a real son-of-a-bitch and said he ought to be tied to a pickup truck and dragged down five miles of bad Wyoming road.

Cottontail recovered and is off and running strong, which is good.  QB-One is living under an assumed name in Cleveland.  She got the house and the car; he got the first shaft he never enjoyed.

As for me, I'm in Columbus, Ohio.  I live in a condominium just off machine gun alley.  We had another shooting last week, but so what?  The Columbus PD published their homicide statistics for this year, and out of eleven homicides only one was white - a road rage case.  One was Latino, and the rest were blacks, and I'm talking real pavement apes here.  I think two of these have been solved.  The rest are being investigated.  Well, whatever.

I have one aunt and uncle who moved from their two story home into a ranch style condo, then from there into an assisted living facility.  They should have moved sooner, and didn't.  Uncle isn't happy about anything, as a series of strokes has left him unable to do much of anything.  Standing and walking are major issues.  Aunt can't lift anything, and actually has trouble standing due to a bad back - and by bad, I mean seriously bad.  Weather permitting, they go for walks next to a forest, listen to music and watch the idiot box.  Somebody shoot me if I ever get like this.

Right now, I have a good life, for which I'm thankful.  Thanks for reading.

Can you hear me now?

Yesterday morning (Thursday, February 22, 2024) the unthinkable happened: Cell service quit working.  No texting, no Internet, no email, no various social media sites, no nothing.  The various providers just shut down.

I'm going to pontificate about this for a little while.  Read and enjoy as you like.

Russia versus Ukraine: Where are we and what are we up to?

I've been following the Russia vs. Ukraine war on and off.  I lost a sawbuck when I bet that Russia would win a decisive victory in less than a year.  So, easy come, easy go.  Then I tripped over an empty bottle of gin and stumbled onto a piece by the irascible bleeding hearts at Human Rights Watch, and it got me to thinking - always a dangerous condition for me and anyone in the blast radius.

Why is Russia attacking Ukraine anyway?

Keep reading, including the bleeding heart snowflakes who would usually rather shove a handful of number two where the sun don't shine rather than read a paragraph of my insensitive ramblings.

A Speech Worth Listening To

People pass me links to speeches, sound bytes, books or articles being read aloud, and videos.  Lots of videos, all of which are dryer than my martini during happy hour.  Unless the video involves unpopular right-wing political opinions or firearms, I skip 'em.

Except this one.

This is Javier Gerardo Milei an economist who has served as President of Argentina since December 2023.   Milei has taught university courses in macroeconomics, economic growth, microeconomics, and mathematics for economists.  He is an author on economics and politics, and also hosted radio programs on the subject.  Milei's views distinguish him in the Argentine political landscape and have garnered significant public attention and polarizing reactions.

Here's his speech, translated into English (and several other languages) using HeyGen, an AI translator.  This is the best, most informative speech I've heard on government and economics in years, and I'm not exaggerating.  Give it a listen.

World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2024

This is going to make professor Milei hugely unpopular with the moonbat set, but I really don't think the man loses much sleep over that.

Alec Baldwin Isn't So Cocky These Days

As most folks who read this hound know, back in October 21st of 2021, actor Alec Baldwin was plying his trade on the set of a western film, Rust.  The scene was shot, literally, when the six gun in Deadeye's chow hook went off and cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dropped dead from a forty-four (no Hutchins, no more).  Director Joel Souza sprung a leak.

Story and commentary to follow.  Trigger warning: Never mind.  Just keep plowing on through.

Tuesday, January 9, 2024

Okay, this is nuts...

I can't take credit for finding this one, and maybe that's just as well.  This story was passed along to me by Big Mike, and I cannot, for the life of me, imagine just how he stumbled across it.  He doesn't smoke pot or imbibe in any other hallucinogens.

Imagine you're going to college.  You're going to get an education that will be the ticket to a specialty - PhD, MD, ADD, whatever, that comes with benefits and a big ticket salary.  Which you'll need in order to pay off the loans you wish you'd never taken out to pay for college in the first place, and then there's your college educated wife's student loans, and the lease on the SUV, and her car, the Tesla, needs new batteries, and she's pregnant - again.  And to make matters worse...

You learn that your beer-swilling buddy from High School, the one who told the school councilor, "No, Mister Champion, you're the lucky one.  You can kiss my ass and I can't."  Yeah, that guy.  He became an apprentice plumber, then a plumber, then opened his own shop, and now he has three guys working for him and it looks like his house is paid off.

All those years you were going to college, drinking beer, screwing co-eds (which is how you got married), sweating exams, and racking up thousands in tuition bills and student loans, your old buddy was happily going to work and watching his bank account grow, and his wife doesn't have a lot of crazy ideas about diversity, inclusion, and equity (DIE).

I don't know how I got here.  Okay, below the fold you'll find two courses that are, for real, offered at a real university.  No, it's not from The Onion.

The Proof is in The Shooting

Or not, as the case may be.  Cutting to the chase, I posted a brief, opinionated essay entitled  Packing Heat, and got a lecture on societal norms and morals from Glen Filthie.  Naturally I suggested that Glen go boil his head, but upon reflection I think my northern neighbor may have an insight worth listening to.

Consider these two bits of news from commercial media.  Be aware that my opinion is not modified to accommodate SJWs, special little snowflakes, anti-freedom liberals of any stripe, or weak-kneed, bull-dyke fearing, door knob sucking douche nozzles.

Packing Heat

Our family has always had a loaded gun or two in the house.  Ever since I was a little kid, I remember the old man telling me in his best no-nonsense voice that this was real, this was not, and you don't touch the real gun.

I only made one mistake back then, and I didn't get larruped for it - although I might have, and no one would have faulted the parent.  My best friend, whose family were also gun owners, and whose older brother was a gun owner, questioned whether or not my father owned a pistol.  So I showed it to him.  I didn't pick it up, and I'd have stopped him if he'd tried, but we all know what we all know.  My thinking was that he was my best friend, and so qualified as a family member.  The aspect that applied here was that Timmy was something of a dunderhead, which I didn't realize until I was much older.  His father didn't think he'd make it through adolescence, and so took out life insurance on him.  His poor mother acquired more gray hair from Timmy's shenanigans than anything else.  The kid would try to beat out cars when crossing the street - I once saw a dump truck driver slam on his brakes, and another time my father did the same thing, in our driveway no less.  Then he severed several tendons while carving a pumpkin, and a few years later blew himself up while he and a like-minded friend screwed around with Sterno and live ammo Timmy had borrowed from his older brother.  There were other escapades, but I don't think they altered his mental process much.

I've digressed, but that was then and this is now, and the things people do still aren't predictable.  Which is why I'm packing my gat with one up the pipe.

Keep reading with the usual disclaimer about anti-freedom zealots and overly sensitive Lefties.

Things Your Dad Never Told You

I got this off an FB page, and reading through got me to reminiscing.  Evidently, whoever wrote this was thinking about Ward Cleaver or Ozzie Nelson.  This isn't the way things worked when I was growing up.

I was raised on a horse farm.  My parents had palomino show horses when I was growing up, and I learned how to ride.  I never liked it.  We had ten to fifteen horses, and guess who got to take care of them - yours truly, that's who.  I cleaned stalls, fed and watered them, and was the chief hot walker (see the expression rode hard and put away wet).  I also hauled sand and gravel in a wheelbarrow, chopped wood, did any number of odd jobs and chores.  This ten point meme got on my very last nerve, and inspired a reality check.  I don't know who had a father like the one described above, but I sure as hell didn't.

My reality is below the fold.

Noise That Makes Me Nuts

I caught this on Knuckledraggin' and liked it.  These days it doesn't take much to drive me right out of whatever remains of my mind, but rather than focusing on me (kind of like being fascinated by a train wreck), I'd like to hear from anyone reading this hound.

But first, a little background.  The scientific name for this condition (I read about it on the Internet so it really does exist) is Misophonia, sounds that make you bat shit crazy.  This could be pretty much anything, from the sound of the cat yowling for heaven only knows what, up to and including the budding musical genius next door who is learning to make noise with a bassoon.

Do you have a noise that you absolutely cannot stand?

For me it's boom cars, bad table manners, and eating while talking on the phone.  That last item is extremely offensive to me, and I won't tolerate it for any length of time.

Theories, Conspiracy Theories, and Amusing Fairy Tales

Sixty years ago today, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963) was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, who was shot to death shortly thereafter by Jack Leon Ruby (born Jacob Leon Rubenstein) (March 25, 1911 – January 3, 1967).  Ruby was arrested, tried, and convicted of murder, then appealed his conviction successfully, and granted a new trial, but died of cancer before he could be retried.  For his part, Oswald denied shooting anyone.

Keep reading for my own twisted opinions on Our Government, JFK, Ruby, and a host of other things.

White Teenager Beaten to Death

I was reading Knuckledraggin My Life Away when I tripped over a dangling participle left by one of his many contributors and found this article.  I'm disgusted and enraged.  Standard disclaimer will precede my rant.

If you're a sensitive, thin skinned liberal, go no further.  You'll only get your tender little feelings injured to the point that you may not heal up again - which is not a bad thing in my book.  Anyone else, keep reading.

Happy Birthday Shoot - 2023

I scored some free ammo courtesy of Ammo Man, so if you're in the market for ammunition, go have a look.  The prices are very competitive, and they've got a nice selection of calibers and brands.

I wouldn't exactly tell 'em Mad Jack sent me! and expect to get anything special.  For one thing, they don't know me all that well.

Non-Standard Disclaimer: For those of you who voted for, or (Heaven help us all) actually supported Feinstein, pack up your preferred pronouns and go read I'm a Sensitive Zealot.  Believe me, we'll all be happier.

Order Up!

Unlike most of my contributions to the canon of western literature, this post will do nothing more that irritate, incense, and annoy the anti-freedom idiots who truly believe that owning an AR-15 is akin to burning not-a-president Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. in effigy while wearing a MAGA hat, singing The Star Spangled Banner, and donating to the President Donald Trump Reelection Fund.

That's a tall order, but I'm betting I could pull it off.

My Sincere Apology

Somehow, and I genuinely do not know how, about 75 legitimate comments got moved into the spam folder.  Some of these comments go back to the ice age, when I first started this hound.

If you were kind enough to post a comment and couldn't see it later on, it's because it got marked as spam.  I went through the entire list and marked all the spam as legit, so now the comments can be seen.  The only comment I deleted was posted by anonymous and notified the men on this dog as pigs.  I think this contributor is a deranged female who used to call herself Baked Brie - she posted a similar comment on my post about a massage parlor that closed up.

My apologies for the error.  I corrected it, and I'll keep a closer eye on things.

Nine-Eleven, The Day After

Since everyone knows what happened on September 11th, 2001, I'm not going to write a repetition.  What follows is a brief personal opinion of the events that should have followed the attack.

Content Warning: If you're a thin skinned social justice warrior, LGBT - et al. member, follower, or supporter, or you're sensitive to racial slurs and easily insulted - keep reading.  You'll die of an apoplexy and the world will be a better place - to an infinitely small degree, maybe, but still a better place.

Awright, cut out the noise, sit up and stop mumbling.  That includes you, Glen Filthie - get your mind outta the gutter and pay attention.

Number One: Find all the anti-freedom fascist commie bastards and give 'em the bum's rush.  Out the back, Glen!  The back!  That includes everyone that ain't regular, and by that I mean regular.

The back door!  Ah... the boy's a slow learner, but he makes up for it with enthusiasm.  The rest of you folks make yourselves comfortable, because I have an announcement to make.

Cheaper Than Dirt! The delivery...

While screwing around online, I tripped over an empty bourbon bottle (remind me to go to the liquor store later on today) and when I picked myself up I discovered that I was right in the middle of Cheaper Than Dirt!  (CTD)

Which in turn reminded me that I was a bit low on 5.56 NATO...

At this point I'm issuing my standard warning to all moonbats, left wing idiots, and anti-freedom zealots.  Go someplace else, because you are not going to like what you read next.

Psycho Chicks

One of my favorite bloggers is Wirecutter, over at Knuckledraggin My Life Away.  If you haven't read him, find a free half-hour and go see him - he writes an excellent blog.

One recurring title from the Wirecutter is Psycho Chicks - We've All Had 'Em.  Maybe, maybe not, but by the time you've hit forty if you haven't met one you aren't living right.

Now me, I'm old enough and wise enough to know better than to get mixed up with a psycho chick, but every once in a while even someone with my experience gets blindsided.

Warning: If you're some kind of feminazi whack job or a left wing tool or something - save yourself a lot of grief and Xanax by visiting your favorite loonie lefty site.  Forget you ever came here.  The rest of you can keep reading.

Jimmie Vaughan - Review

I haven't reviewed an artist in quite a while, so here we go.  Ah, but don't forget the standard disclaimer!  Not safe for children, not safe for work, do not use with wet or damp hands... and if you're a thin skinned precious little snowflake - the first paragraph will cause a mental meltdown.

Homophobic or Not - You Be the Judge

As all of my regular readers (such as they are - few in number, percipient in culture) know that I rarely, if ever, discriminate.  I hate everyone equally.  I despise most political groups, and I execrate all but a select few social groups.  I also subscribe to the practice of ignoring those habits and consuetudes which are not obvious, and which I would never practice myself as I find them abhorrent.

Keep reading as you like with the usual warning and disclaimer - adult oriented racist hate speech ahead,  triggers and micro-triggers are deliberate, this missive includes racist hate speech, void where prohibited, no deposit no return, the sleeves will ride up with wear, and thin skinned SJWs and affiliated moonbats will be offended to the point of mandatory psychiatric treatment.

Get Woke, Go Broke

Standard Disclaimer: This content is not suitable for most work places, thin skinned moonbats, politically correct people, or anyone under 18 years of age who can't think for themselves and has no sense of humor.  If you can't tolerate hate speech, don't read this.

I was all set to write about this, and the Old NFO beat me to it.  Take a look and a read if you're so inclined, and remember you saw it here - or something.

But before you do, you need a little background.  A lot of the people reading this hound already know this, and have known it since they were ten years old.  Two things you have to know about beer to appreciate what's happening here:

  1. The manufacturer who brews this swill packages it and sells it (yeah, no shit Sherlock...) ahem! to a distributor, who then, in turn, takes the packaged product around to various retail outlets - stores, bars, whatever.  Why does it work this way?  Because, genius.
  2. The distributor takes what the manufacturer sends him.  No, it's not supposed to work this way, but this is the way it works.  Again, because.  See?

There's money involved in every step, which should answer most questions.  So - got that?  Brewer, distributor, bar, consumer, DUI, domestic, Fraternity Toga Party, and eventually, drunk tank.  Like always, there's money in it.

Now that we're all on the same page, looking at the same picture of Ms. Budweiser Light of 2022, here we go...

How Free is Speech?

Any gun owner knows that the Bill of Rights is a great idea, and that the first amendment recognizes the freedom of speech.  Here it is for those of you who require a crib sheet:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

We, the freedom loving gun owners, also know that the second amendment trumps the first - because free speech is a great thing until you piss off the wrong person, then - well, keep reading if you've the time and mind to do so.

Standard Disclaimer: Many people will find the rest of this missive offensive, to which I say - good.  Mission accomplished.

Range Time!

Last time we went to the range my AR-15 performed nicely.  I didn't suffer any misfeeds and I managed to put my shots on the paper.  I didn't get my fingers caught in the action, either.  California Dave was with us, firing his Rock River AR-15 for the first time, and had similar luck.  No misfeeds, no broken fingers.  Big Mike, however, was not as fortunate.

Trigger Warning: All anti-freedom commies, liberals, SJWs, snowflakes, and other pre-verts can go read something else about someone else.  My blog, my deliberate trigger events.

And, while I'm at it, may I remind you that around here men are men.  We treat ladies with courtesy and respect.

Armed Robbery

I had an armed robbery very close to my home.  Here are the particulars and my own commentary, which is not safe for snowflakes, LGBT - et cetera things, and children under ten.

An AR-15 at the Range

I bought a Rock River AR-15 a few weeks ago, and finally had a chance to take it out to the range to see if it performs as advertised.  Here are the results and commentary.

Caution: Anti-freedom commie loving liberals should stop reading as they value their sanity.

Monody for a Migraine

The questionably melodic cacophony you hear from upstage center is not a goat mating with a penguin.  It's the infamous Fat Lady, and she's closing out the show.

Keep reading for an amusing yet offensive denouement of Migraine One.

Migraine One:

Read the previous post if you haven't already.  I got a call this morning, and stupid me, I answered it without thinking.

Migraine One.

RFI: Migraine One

The people who read this dog on an irregular basis, and who have done so for some number of years, will have heard of Migraine One.  This is a multi-ex girlfriend that I started dating when I was 21 and finally got shut of when I was about 30.  We had an on-again, off-again, relationship that could best be described as gasoline and matches.  The real problem with Migraine One is that she's neurotic with psychotic episodes and a drinking problem.

Keep reading at your own risk, keeping the usual disclaimer in mind: void where prohibited, no deposit no return, the sleeves will ride up with wear, do not use near fire or flame, and thin skinned SJWs, special little snowflakes, and affiliated moonbats will be triggered to the point of emergency psychiatric treatment.  I recommend Doctor Glen Filthie of Someplace, Canada.

What Goes On in the Office

In the year of Out Lord One-Thousand Nine-Hundred Ninety and Nine, I landed a contract with the state of South Dakota.  My office was in Pierre, (pronounced peer, as in long walk off a short...), South Dakota.  The regular building was being remodeled, so we got moved into a refurbished department store in downtown Pierre on East Capitol Avenue, which runs NW to SE.  I was on the South side of the street  Across the street was the State Capitol Building, Capitol Lake is a man made artesian lake, and further down (SE of the lake) is the governor's mansion.

The BLM Movement and Your Humble Host

Some silly bitch sent me an email a week ago, which I finally got around to reading.  The title of the email is How madjackshack.blogspot.com's users can safely support BLM online

Keep reading with the usual warning and disclaimer - void where prohibited, no deposit no return, the sleeves will ride up with wear, and thin skinned SJWs and affiliated moonbats should be offended to the point of mandatory psychiatric treatment.  Please note that the author of this hound (that would be me) is an ancient cissexual, cisgender, right-wing conservative, whiskey drinking white male, who is enthusiastically suffering from male toxicity.  He likes guns, down and dirty blues, and women of questionable moral repute. The only things in this world that he's afraid of are helpful government workers, mandatory vaccinations, and red-headed women - and the jury's still out on red-headed women.

Feeling Better

I admit I was feeling a little blue for the past few days.  A kind of 'down in the dumps' feeling.  Then I read the Old NFO's blog and cheered right up.

Schoolyard Antics

This is old news, but I wanted the event to reach some kind of conclusion before I wrote about it.  The standard disclaimer applies.

When the Balloon Goes Up

Unless you've been dead drunk the past week or so, you've heard all about the Chinese balloon that crossed the continental United States.  After a good deal of meaningless meetings during which one bloviating baby-kisser after another tried to make himself heard above the roar, the U.S. finally shot the damned thing down.

Everyone has an opinion, and I'm no exception.  Keep reading as it amuses you to do so.

Merry Christmas!

This is my official Merry Christmas! post.  Any of you who are not Christian, I'm wishing you a Happy Hanukkah or a Joyous Kwanzaa, whichever is most appropriate.  For anyone who doesn't fall into one of these three categories, label yourself and stop causing trouble.

In times past both my parents were alive, and we had a large gathering for Christmas dinner.  Among the eighteen or so guests were Uncle Sardonicus and Grandpa Parsimonious.  My old dad really knew how to pour a drink, and Uncle Sardonicus liked to bend his elbow and pontificate on politics.  Since he knew everything that was worth knowing, and since he was an idiot a liberal, these speeches could easily lead to a civilized disagreement.  Keep reading - trust me.

Private School in the Big Windy - What Will Your Child Get?

I caught this story on Knuckledraggin My Life Away (which if you don't read, you should).  You can check the link Oh, HELL NO!!!, but it actually leads to the story Project Veritas Undercover Highlights Chicago School Dean Bragging About Sharing Sex Toys with Minors in Classroom, as published on December 8, 2022, courtesy of The Conservative Treehouse.

Keep reading for a commentary and rant that is unsuitable for moon-bats, SJWs, and fragile little snowflakes.

The 'No Food' Diet - Coming to a City Near You!

Big Mike announced that he's stopped wondering why people do the bat-shit crazy, incredibly thick-headed things that often make the news.  If I wanted a modicum of mental tranquility, I'd follow his example - but I'm not that bright.  I'm the sort that will take my finger out of the dyke to see if she'll demand I plug her up again dike to see if the water will come out.  Then I'll repair to the nearest bar and have a drink or three while the storm drain system overflows into the next country.

This latest move by the European Union and the environmentalists pretty much puts them all on the city council in Crazy Town, at least temporarily, and could easily lead to a genuine insurrection.  Keep reading for half a rant, complete with a decent helping of testosterone fueled toxicity.

Moscow, Idaho Police at DEFCON 4

And they should be at DEFCON 1 or 2.  Here's why I think that their standard operating procedure (SOP) is far too tolerant.

Banned by Nextdoor

It seems there's a third rate social media site, Nextdoor.  People create an account there to get the latest news about their neighborhood, as your account also has your geographic location.  I got an account there a few years ago because of a crime problem, and that was that.

Until...

Rant warning.  Foul language and politically incorrect insults ahead.  Read at your own risk.  SJWs should take two milligrams of Xanax before continuing.
